- INSTALLATION PATH
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- The installation path is where NOSINST will create the
- NOS directories and place the files on your hard disk
- drive.
-
- The first letter followed by a colon, e.g. C: is the
- disk drive, and the rest is the directory structure
- where NOS will be installed.
-
- An example: C:\NOS (the default), will install all of
- the NOS programs etc in a directory called NOS on disk
- drive C: such that all the NOS programs and files will
- be kept distinct and separate from other programs on
- your hard disk.
-
- Even if you only use your computer for running NOS, it
- is always a good idea to keep things tidy. To this
- end, THE INSTALL PROGRAM WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO INSTALL
- NOS IN THE ROOT DIRECTORY (C:\) OF YOUR HARD DISK.
-
- If you are unsure, use the NOSINST defaults. They
- will provide a known good setup on drive C:. If you
- are unfamiliar with MS-DOS pathnames etc, then consult
- a DOS manual or seek the advice of another user.
